Help Protect our WATERs
Why is water important to us?
Since we are floating in the heart of the Blue River we have a pretty good understanding of why water is a valued resource and the importance of keeping it clean. As parents, we are committed to protecting water quality and quantity for our kids and future generations. As a small family-owned business, we depend on the natural environment as an important driver of our economy. As members of this awesome town we want to preserve the mountain lifestyle by promoting a culture of environmental and social responsibility through education, action and community engagement. Access to freshwater is a basic human right. Let's protect it.
Did You Know...
Less than 3 percent of the world's water is fresh, the rest is seawater and undrinkable. The largest part of this freshwater is inaccessible to us as it remains frozen in Glaciers, the Arctic and Antarctica. Humanity relies on just 0.5 percent of the world's water for all our freshwater needs.
What Can We Do?
Responsible stewardship of water
Where possible we seek to partner with suppliers and purveyors that share our love of water. We strive to reduce our water usage and seek ways to consume it responsibly in our daily operations.
Minimizing Plastic Use
Why? Unless you don't like sea turtles, fish and other wildlife let's minimize the amount of plastics that are ending up in our ecosystems. Let's do away with straws, plastic bags and plastic bottles as a start.
Blue River preservation project
Please join us as we will be coordinating a Mud Season clean up; collecting trash and debris in an effort to preserve the beauty of the Blue River and beyond.
